the beginning of a new week.
last week was really down and blue.
amazing how emotions go in waves and this week seems so promising.
took this last week.
i love this scene, every day after school. so far i have been very lucky that both boys really enjoy homework.

my mood swings, the randomness of life and the weather puts me out on a daily basis – let alone a weekly basis. you are not alone.
My wee girl freaks out at homework – its never fun for her – send me some of the boys enthusiasm please!!!
So glad you’re feeling better again T. Never nice to feel down and blue, know the feeling, don’t like it at all.
Love the piccies you took of the boys. Drew is getting a big guy, he’s growing, you can see it at the photo :)
hugs Alette
Isn’t a great feeling when your kids enjoy something that you know is good for them? Luckily, both my 9 year old and 6 year old love school and everything about it. Of course, my 9 year old has his moments but usually it is all smooth sailing. Makes a momma proud!
Sorry that you had a down and out week last week. I am sure this week will be much better for ya! Just know that there are a ton of us “Tara Groupies” that are always sending sunshine your way ;)
Ok, I gotta comment here…the comment from Cass above mentioned my friend Erin’s blog! So cool. Erin started her blog a few months back around the same time I did…right after I found Tara’s blog and got inspired. It’s like that pay it forward movie or something!!!
She and I have been online pals for going on five years now…our firstborns were just a few weeks apart on due dates in a pregnancy group from Babycenter. We’ve been a member of that pregnancy board every since…so almost five years, including most of our pregnancies. I’ve seen her become a mom, have a second child, move SEVERAL times (ha,ha Erin)and just be a great person all around. I totally wish she and I were in closer vicinity to each other…I’m in TN and she’s in Washington State. We email several times a week…if not a day, ha,ha.
Erin is a completely wonderful girl..her kids are so adorable and she is a rockin’ photog! I’ve got her site linked on my blog! Too cool for her to get a nod on here…she was just beaming and emailed to let me know. I had just written her the other day to tell her how many hits my blog had gotten from the link I’d posted in a comment (nearly 80!).
We both admire Tara so much and hope to be her one day when we grow up. Seriously, Tara it’s way funny how you have brought so many people together via your blog. I remember when I first posted to Erin about you back last year and told her how amazing your scrapbooking and photography was. Now lookie…she’s being mentioned on here by a reader of yours. Too, too cool.
I can’t help but think finding Two Peas and you and some other very inspiring people via the net was meant to be for me…and Erin even. She and I both are hoping to one day, once our kids are older, to maybe pursue photography professionally..or even, for me anyway, scrapbooking. Thanks to you. Ok, I gotta email Erin and tell her to read comments to see what I wrote about her…she’ll kill me.
Did they enjoy homework all the time? We had a really hard time at the beginning of K — but we’re doing better now.
yeah-thanks for the links. jen martin linked her blog already. anyone else? ;)
Have a great week! This one just *feels* better than last week :)
First of all I looked at that photo of Em and you at Disneyland and my husband goes, ‘Is that you and Em?’ before looking real closely!…(you are taller)…then you do the homework thing, and I walked into that scene and commented on it just tonight after work, with mine round the table, looking so cute with Boyd helping them! (Charlotte’s homework is colouring in a Disney Princess book!)[eerie music should play here] Have we been cloned?..and if so, who is the clone?(Mind you, I am way crap at taking photos…so in that respect..we are in no way similar!) Does that kill my whole point?
hi. thanks for the comp. cass. here is another link for ya- i found this blog a couple days ago. and i have been thinking a lot about her. she is amazing. she has 5 kids but lost one a few years ago. i think it was a car acc. and her baby got some brain damage from it. anyways, she is so positive and it’s an amazing story. check her out at http://www.jodyferlaak.blogspot.com -read her letter to the judge! made me cry!
another amazing link- http://www.jcsphoto.com/blog/index.html
Okay, I stopped by to leave Tara a comment about coming over to my blog to see a picture of a Starbuck’s tumbler I just made…and much to my surprise there is a link to my blog already posted. How did that happen??!! Looks like this is turning into the “T Whitney Message Board” or something! Anyway, I appreciate the kind words from my new fan, Jen, and I still want to say, “Stop by, Tara.” Nothing can turn my day or week around like making or buying something for myself. And yes, I know that people who do stuff like that to make themselves feel better end up on Dr. Phil and shows like that- but sometimes it really works! Here’s hoping you have one terrific week! (And I know that you know sometimes routine and normal can make for a pretty wonderful week- considering the options!)
That’s awesome. Drew is looking like such a big kid!
Loved your Disney photos. Especially your perspective in the yellow picture, so rad.
up until i graduated from college, i always thought homework-time was the best time of day. glad to know your kiddos are feeling the same way. :)
LOL…just WAIT! They won’t ALWAYS love homework . (My oldest is in college now, I have one in high school, and one still in elementary school, so I know.)
