Hi Tara, I just read this post of yours as I am too taking a hiatus and only thought of catching up with some of favorite photogs and look at some of my favorite blogs again. I too feel like I’m running everywhere and look in awe at others who ‘appear’ to have it all together. I guess I just wanted to say is I can relate, I have put my camera away for almost 6 months now and trying to find away to reignite that fire and passion I had for photography. But unfortunately the busy-ness of everyday life something had to give. I guess what I wanted to reach out and say is – I can completely relate and your not alone in those feelings. De-lurking on this super old post to say thanks. Your honesty on this post and the follow up post are so good. so true. so real.
i have been in therapy for a couple years (still working on it) and a lot of the stuff you are working through resonates with me so much. such a weird juxtaposition; being confident yet being a pleaser. can i just be ME?
i don’t have issues like you do with mckenna, but man, do I have issues!
anyhow… we live local to you and i think if we lived next door to each other and you needed to borrow some sugar, you might come in and share a cup of coffee and we would talk about REAL things and maybe be friends.
