AKA I am thankful for good webcam angles! Amen and hallelujiah!
Last Friday I was interviewed by Melissa at Framed via Skype. If you haven’t heard of Framed, watch this quick about video. (That made me tear up, thanks very much.)
From their website: Lets be real. Photography is addicting. It’s an intoxicating craftiness that truly has limitless potential for those that crave the art. It is in it’s own world of ever-changing possibilities and is constantly evolving. With that being said, we decided to create a show. A free, weekly broadcast that captivates as well as educates. Every week we will bring different photographic talents to you that will share a piece of their wisdom, their work, their process, and their art.
[FRAMED] will take you on location to local, national, and internationally known photographers for the purpose of bringing a behind-the-scenes view of photography to your computer. All we ask of you is to share, participate and jump on the train of inspirational photography education to inspire you to be unique. Be careful, you might get addicted.
I felt a lot of pressure because this was my first time being filmed during an interview. I haven’t ever posted myself on this blog in this way. You guys should have seen me running around all morning before the scheduled call…just a tad nervous. I got the kids to school, threw on some make-up and a cute top (but left on my pajama bottoms), and settled into my office. Once Melissa rang me up I immediately felt at ease – she is just so great at this job, and adorable to boot.
So thank you [Framed] – I can’t wait to meet up with you guys next time you are in SoCal.
(Um – the “you know” count is at least 100+ – but if you can forgive me for that, click play:)
If you are wanting more, here are some of my favorite [FRAMED] episodes from the past:
I just found out that Babble.com named this blog in their Top 20 Baby Photo Blogs, and that I am one of their “favorite mom photographers around the web.”
This is what they had to say:
“You can feel Tara’s passion for photography right from the get-go: this Orange County, CA, photographer’s About page states her philosophy as “perfectly imperfect,” and that’s just how we like it. This blog features large, colorful photographs of daily family adventures and beautiful home décor. Her family photography goes beyond the traditional white shirts and jeans, though the beach-y aesthetic is one of our favorite things about this blog. She’s not one to aim for “flawless” pictures, but authenticity, lollipop-stained mouths and all. Tara also has a request for clients: “When we meet, show up with your heart. I can’t wait to meet it.” Us, too.
It’s pretty fun to be on a top 20 list. I was honored and excited to be on it. Babble, thank you so much!
