city love

Oh, San Francisco.

Thank you for being there and thank you for having inhabitants that want me to come and take pictures while they play in the wind and creep up to pelicans and warm up with hot chocolate.

See their 2010 experience here.

  1. Oh I love these! I love how they are in comfortable everyday clothes. They are not all matchy matchy or trendy looking. They look real. I love that. You do such a great job capturing the dynamics of families and relationships as they are, not all made up and fake looking. Thank you for posting these. Beautiful family!

  2. I haven’t been to your blog in a long time – but am so glad I came over here today. This looks like such a fun way to spend time with a photographer and a family! I love the windy hair shots.

  3. oh my, Tara the one with the bird and SF bridge in the background oh lordy, totally unscripted, unplanned, divine intervention. This whole session (and every session) looks like the photography angels must be with you.

  4. I love all of these images – the colors, the expressions, the love. My sister in law got married in that very spot this summer – what a treat to sit on those steps and watch such a beautiful ceremony. And now to see these photos and this lovely family connecting in such a beautiful way in the same space. I love this great big world!
