Yesterday, while upgrading to OS X Lion, I got this message.
My computer is currently still working, but I am taking it in to get looked at.

- Just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt a little! Glad you got everything backed up.
- I dont want to say that is funny but I have heard of that happening a lot. My sister had it happen when she was running updates on her iPad. We had a weird message when we were running updates on the iPhone. Luckily the MAC store and reps are awesome to work with. Hope you get it figured out soon!
- ugh, one of my nightmares! no fun, tara! luckily, i hear so many people get back up and running with no problems after going to the mac store... thank god it's a mac and not a pc, right? ha, you know you'd be effed if your pc gave you a message like that!
- The same thing happened to my son when he tried to install Lion - and we learned quickly that it means the hard drive is about to fail. He looked it up in forums and found out that it has happened to many people (it didn't happen with the other two older macs we have). Many people have had a "false positive" but we brought his in and they said he needed a new hard disk, which we went ahead and put in, but not convinced it's not a Lion bug. Just a little FYI Good luck!

- Oh noooo, we had trouble when my husband was upgrading my comp to Lion. I BEGGED him to wait for a week till I was through a busy week. It went smoothly the second time, but you must be freaking out! Right now I have a backup drive attached to my computer. We've lost in that dice roll before. Glad you're backed up.
- Oh Tara. What a heart. stopper. It's a hastle, for sure. Glad you have everything saved!
- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU BACK UP!! I have everything on my hard drive and apart from the risk involved, the poor thing can barely run anymore. Had everything on an external drive for a while, but then it crashed, so I am afraid....
- Downgraded after I had upgraded:( Too many issues with my current software...Photoshop crapped out nearly 50 times and too many other issues with Photo Mechanic, ProSelect. I realize I may have to update all of them sometime soon but not ready to do so yet.
- ahhh Lion... Im having teething issues too but nothing like you. I just prefer so much of Leopard better . Hope it all comes back good for you x
