summer schedule

to keep us on track this summer and keep the kids on some sort of schedule so they dont just sit in front of the tv all day, we came up with a plan today and i thought i would share it in case it helps someone else out there.

the kids are totally excited. hopefully this will help keep me on track as well!

sounds like a plan to me!
I don’t have kiddos, but I’m thinking I should use this schedule for myself on my days off.
but can we fit scrappin’ in there somewhere too??
    :)

Great idea! I can already see my children turning into slugs…and it’s only been a week! I think I need a schedule more than them. It’s hard to be the motivator when you don’t feel motivated. Thanks for sharing.

Love your schedule. I set one up for us a couple of weeks ago. Wrote it out on posterboard to hang on the boys door. The kids love it, I am the one who has a hard time following it though, lol. I get easily sidetracked.

Okay, my daughter’s ready to move in with you. She’s 11 and very helpful. Could you pick her up at the airport?

How cute are you! We always start the summer with a schedule, but it’s out the window after a few weeks. You’re probably more dedicated than I am. Sounds like you guys have a great, productive plan!

Great idea! We’ve been out of school for 23 days and it would be hard to stop being worthless slugs now! I guess there’s always next summer ;)

Oh gosh…I love this! I just wish my kids could read (too young) - but I might be able to adapt it with graphics and symbols.

hehe. We had a schedule on the wall. divided into four sections..
days Lanne works, days lanne doesnt,
    morning and evening…
VERY tightly timed.. lots of time to do each thing but all of the time was accounted for. Friends and family were horrified.. but it made our lives so much easier and we had more free time.

I didnt repost it at the new house.. but maybe I should. Let us know how yours is going.. love the thing about clothes!

    woohoo! great schedule :o)
love that you spelled momma my way in no. 6 (i know i’m a lunitic about it, but it makes me crazy to see it any other way…lol)
and the healthy snacks part is brilliant. we did so much better with our no. 2 than our no. 1 kidlet(i mean starting when he was little with making *just* healthy snacks available at home) and it totally shaped him into an aware & smart chooser of food. he’s six & advises me that he hasn’t seen me drink enough water when i reach for a diet coke, lol.

anyway…love that you shared this :o) let us know how it works & have fun at the pool!!
